Request for Refund and Reporting of Fraudulent Application on Apple App Store

I am writing to report a serious issue concerning a fraudulent application I downloaded from the Apple App Store, which has resulted in a significant financial loss. I trust that Apple takes the security and integrity of apps on its platform seriously, and therefore I am reaching out for assistance and a possible refund due to the circumstances that unfolded.

Developer: [Malong Technologies Global Limited]

Issue Encountered: Immediately after installing the app on my iPhone, I noticed unauthorized activities linked to my Facebook account. The app deceitfully obtained my Facebook login information, which was then used to set up an advertisement in my Facebook Ads Manager with a daily budget of $1,840.


Financial Impact:

By the time I detected this unauthorized activity, a total of $200 had already been spent on these ads without my consent. This expenditure was unintended and resulted from the fraudulent actions of the app obtained via the Apple App Store.


Steps Taken:

I have already secured my Facebook account and changed all necessary passwords to prevent further unauthorized access.

The app has been deleted from my device to prevent any further issues.


Request:

Given that this app was available on the Apple App Store, I believe that the responsibility for vetting the security and legitimacy of applications falls partly on Apple. Therefore, I am requesting a full refund of the $200 that was fraudulently charged to my account due to this incident. Additionally, I urge that immediate action be taken to investigate and remove this app from the App Store to prevent further incidents affecting other users.
