best wi-fi use

I am currently using an APPLE AirPort for my wi-fi. Since APPLE no longer makes AirPort, which wi-fi is most compatible with my IMAC?

Any router will work. The most important part is to make sure the router you get has a Gigabit WLAN port for connecting to your modem.

I'd suggest an AX series 1500 or higher (AX1500, AX1800, AX3000, etc) since those are WiFi-6 compatible, but older AC series devices also work. Again, brand shouldn't matter, but for what it is worth I'm currently using an ASUS model.

If you need to cover a large property you might also wish to consider mesh routers.
