Apple Health not recording cycling speed

I use my Apple Watch series 9 to record my cycling. However I noticed that when I review my data in Health there is no cycling speed data recorded. Could you please assist me in explaining what the data is for and how to ensure that when I use Apple workout activities that the data is syncing with Apple health

many thanks in advance

You are right that when you open the Health app and then choose Workouts and history, then you do not see the average cycling speed listed there.

The cycling details and average speed per cycling workout is listed within the Fitness app and then tap on “Show More” under History and you can locate that cycling workout and see the data that you have been looking for.
