Change my child country

My child has moverd Country, we need to change the reqion of her account. The parent will still be in the US while she will be in Ireland, does this matter? How do we change the Country for her? Thanks

It depends upon if your child is a "child" by Apple's terms, or simply a child by everybody else's definition on the planet since everybody is somebody's child.


If the child is part of a family sharing group and has to be there because the child falls below the critical age (generally 13 but it depends upon the country) then you would have to delete the child's account entirely. As stated in a previous post, all Family Sharing members have to have the same country setting. If she can't be in your family but must be because of her age, then you have to delete the account.


If your child is above 13 then have her leave her family and change her country setting. The support article Change your Apple ID country or region - Apple Support describes how to change your country setting on everything using your Apple ID, and the requirements and results of doing this
