Track gets selected after moving the regions in it

When I try to move / drag regions from an unselected track, that track gets selected. It was not the case before. Using Logic Pro 10.8. There is no way to disable it. It is really annoying. Please remove this bug as soon as possible or at least provide the option to disable it.

I figured it out. You can change how you want this to work in Settings.

Open Settings>General >Editing.

Uncheck - Select track on Region/Marquee selection

That should put things back the way you like.

Yes but this is very annoying when I record any vocals on lets say track 1 and if I want to keep that take and record another, so I simply used to put it in track 2 previously in logic 10.5 (another track just to keep the takes as I don't like the take function in logic). But now when I drag that region into the 2nd track and quickly start recording another take, the recording starts on track 2 since the 2nd track has got focused. So I again have to select track 1 and do the recording.

Forget about dragging, even if I just long clicked on any region from the track which is not selected, that selects the track.

I just wish the track to be selected only when I click on the track pane & not by any other activity whatsoever. :(
