Will ‘Journal’ app be available for Mac books and iPads?

Please! Journal app on Mac.

With the new macOS Sequoia you can use iPhone Mirroring to open the Journal app and use your keyboard to type.

Yes. Tried that but don't expect much. I've never seen them react. I even offered to fix their AppleTV programming, which is ridiculous, for free. Nope, no response.

I need it on Mac. Why don't we have it across all devices?

Indeed, I'm a feedback fool, but my experience with these guys is not an example of effectiveness. Still feedback should be made. Oh how I miss the days of Jobs!

Only Apple knows what their future plans are. They will make an announcement if it ever is.

I've heard it's popular with writers. It's not, however a dedicated journaling app with all the features that entails. It also doesn't appear to have a free tier.

When the Journal app appeared on my iPhone my first thought was that journal entries without a keyboard would be a laborious task. I am not GenZ, born with typing thumbs and practiced from the crib. I can however type with a keyboard...being a baby boomer.

I agree. I love the idea of the Journal App, but not being able to sync across devices, start on one device like my phone during the day and document at night when I'm home in front of my MacBook makes no sense.

Notes, Word, One Note, etc all sync. The lack of continuity is disappointing.

I'm more of a don't put all your eggs in one basket kind of person. But it's something to think about.

I am so glad I found this! I am so happy to have been able to send feedback. I journal in such a messy and disorganized way currently because I can't seem to stay committed to one app. I know though that when I started using Journal, it was the one journaling app that I ever used that I REALLY enjoyed using. Unfortunately it was missing things that I required, so I didn't stick with it. I have been battling with my inner perfectionist to just go back to it since I don't see myself stepping away from Apple products any time soon (if ever). Shoot, I finally bought my first MacBook a couple years ago and my poor laptops sat untouched for YEARS until I had to buy a new one for work (didn't work out... never get on the new one still).

I suspect that Apple is watching the analytics and usage data as well as looking at the feedback to determine what resources they should expend on it going forward. They didn't, as I recall, make any big announcements about it for the next round of major system updates. So, we'll need to wait and see....

It is the unfortunate state of affairs with most companies now. Mr. Bacon’s above reply would probably be a very very long discussion to that state of affairs so we’ll leave it at that. Good point Mr. Bacon.

You mean the man whose answer to weak cellular signals was, "You're holding it wrong?" The one who pretty much set Apple on the course of "The customer will get what I think is cool, not what they say they want?" Mr. Cook, in fact, helms an Apple that is much more responsive to feedback than it ever was under Mr. Jobs.

Realistically, yes, unless a very large number of people submit a request, it's not likely to happen. But posting here is even less likely to have an effect. So, keep up the feedback!

I've been an Apple guy for over 35 years, during most if which it was awesome. I don't even know that Cook is the reason, but the downhill slide began at about that same point. On the bright side, their techs are fabulous.
