Time zone issues

I moved from Pacific to Central time zone almost 2 years ago. I have not seen an answer to the problem I have. If I schedule an event using the same “word” ie “hair” (for a hair appt) the calendar will default to Pacific time. If I’m not very careful when I enter the appointment on my phone to make sure the correct central time zone is set I will inevitably miss my appointments. This happens for any event that has a name I used when I lived in CA. If instead of “hair” I put “salon” no problem. Central time. It took me a long time to understand this is what is happening. It is SO annoying. I’ve tried using floating and tried turning it off. It does not matter. I HATE this. Any solution?
