The ability to disable this "feature" was removed on all M1 (and I believe M2) MacBook Airs and there is no command that can be used to disable this "feature". The same is true with pressing any key on the keyboard when the M1 MacBook Airs are powered off which makes cleaning the keyboard a pain.

This is apparently a hardwired "feature" now and cannot be changed using any software tweak or magic wand.

I have an M1 MacBook Air and tried everything and it s simply just not possible to disable this "feature".
