How to disable autoboot on Macbook Pro M3 2023 when lid open or any key pressed?

The Macbook Pro starts up automatically when the lid is opened or when any key is pressed. Probably for some users this is a useful feature, but certainly not for everyone. Hence, the question is whether it is possible to disable this functionality of automatically starting up the MacBook Pro every time you open the lid or press any key ?

In my case, this functionality is very annoying. A simple attempt to clear the keyboard requires both opening the lid and pressing the keys, so there is no option to do this with the computer off, if it turns on when you open the lid and then every time you press any key - just try cleaning the keys without touching them ;)

In fact, I do not understand why there is a Power button on the MacBook if there is no need to use it at all.

It takes a fraction of a second to start the computer with the power button, but it takes several seconds to turn it off, every time it starts up automatically. So there is no gain from speeding up the startup, but there is a waste of time every time I turn off the computer when it starts up by itself when I don't want it to at all.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 14.6

It is considered a feature.

At this time there is no user setting / interaction to change this behavior.

My work around to wipe the keys— is lock the screen: Control Command Q

nothing bad happens
