Why can I not copy pictures in Photos?

Copy is no longer an option on right-click and most of the time is not an option (faded out) in the Edit tab. Using Mac Mini 14.1.1. Trying to copy and paste to a Word doc. TIA

How can I move photos within folders on MacBook Pro Ventura 13.6.6? MacBook Pro Ventura 13.6.6 I want to move (not copy) photos around within folders. I believe the function for this is click and drag. However, this copies, not moves the file (photo). I also read that Option + click and drag copies rather than moves a file. I thought that might work for moving. But it doesn’t. It copies as well. I’ve tried combinations of Shift, Control and Command + click & drag but that still copies not moves. I have read and write permissions. Am I doing something wrong here? [Re-Titled by Moderator]

HEIC to JPG and then back to the Photos app I have read previous questions about converting to JPG from HEIC, but once I've done that I am struggling to get the new JPG picture back to my Mac air photos app ( where it started). when I try and save the new JPG format it takes me to file finder and the documents option. I click to applications, but the photos option is greyed out. How do I get the photo back there rather than just stored as a document? Thanks

Try drag from the Photos Window to the word Doc. The other alternative is to sue the Photo Browser in Word and add the pic that way.

Dragging did not work. I finally downloaded to my desktop and could copupy &paste from there. Yet another step. Thank you for your reply.
