Under Music in the Settings app, there are two Library select option to “Add Playlist Songs” or “Add Favorite Songs”. I turned off both these features, but when I open my Apple Music Library, I still see the Favorite Songs playlist, I even made sure to de-favorite every song under there also, but it still wont delete from my Library

I thought I was the only one annoyed by that feature, so there's no way to remove it?
i have had this issue as well. i do NOT like having that playlist in my library. i wish there was a way to remove it. hopefully thats in the next update.
Why is it that after so many months no apple support member has addressed this issue?
I debating on keeping my iPhone 15 in a drawer or using it as an iPod. I have only ever had an iPhone since iPhone 4
mayne android is the way to go. Once I get over the fear and frustration of learning a new phone maybe it will be better. 🤷♂️ Apple seems to be telling me what I want and what I like, instead of letting me decide. From playlists, to photo libraries, to that dumb U2 album I had to delete. I don't want to be told what I like. I would rather be asked.
Agreed. Completely annoying. Again, apple inventing and "forcing" unwanted stuff. The whole idea of a playlist is that I can create a "favorite" if I choose. I don't need Apple to do it.
I absolutely dread Apple Updates because something new and useless seems to happen every time.
Same as many others I have by mistake favorited a song. Now I'm stuck with empty undeletable playlist on all my devices. Can't change the art, can't change the name, can't remove it. I'm deeply displeased.
Got the same question a couple of days ago trying to clean my Apple Music feed and playlists a bit.
Very annoying to have an empty playlist and not having the option to enable it or not in the Settings of the Music app, or even not having it disappear automatically when you have no favorite songs at all 🙃
Thank you davidvdw! It was driving me crazy! At least now I only need to look at MY favorite playlists, the ugly star is buried at the bottom out of sight! This was much easier than undoing every favorite song (which I already tried).
I spent a lot of time uploading custom art for each playlist and curating them all. That Macy's star was an eyesore and caused my playlists to be out of view and harder to find.
If only Apple was smart enough to get rid of this feature everyone hates. Especially the cover art that cannot be edited.

Totally annoying. Even more so since I just signed up to Apple One and this just appeared, but as a folder with only one song in it and under my wife's name - not even mine!

i hate that i can’t delete it. every time i accidentally favorite a song it adds it as its own album in my library, then deletes its off my playlist when i unfavorite it.
Hate favorite songs playlist addition i just downloaded new ios and there it was and it has no option to remove it
