Logitech 780 magic keyboard not pairing with iphone 13

I am having extreme difficulty to get my Logitech k780 Magic Keyboard to pair with my iPhone 13.

My iPhone 13 keeps giving the message ‘Pairing Unsuccessful, Pairing took too long. Make sure 'Keyboard K780' is turned on, in range and is ready to pair." I have tried numerous restarts, change of batteries in the keyboard, etc. There are a couple logs in the apple.com discussions from Oct of 2021 with the same issue. I sure hope this has been resolved by now being that it is Dec. of 2023.
