A month or so ago 1st my iPhone XR stopped air printing to my canon mf264dw printer but my iPad would print. Then my ipad stopped air printing. I’ve updated the printer firmware, rebooted router, Wi-Fi, and all devices without success. All devices are on the same network. My lenova laptop still prints wirelessly to the printer. I’m stumped 🤔

I don't have a Canon printer, but the following solved a nagging same type of issue with my HP All in One. No guarantees, but worth a try if you have not already done so.
On your iPhone......
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi
Tap on the blue "i" next to the name of the Wi-Fi network
Turn Off Private Wi-Fi Address and confirm. Should only take a few seconds
Power off the iPhone, wait a minute, then power it back up
Give things a try. If this helps, do the same with the iPad
