Current magic keyboard, which other iPads?

I was givin an iPad Pro 12.9 to use and had to return it. Meantime, I purchased an Apple Magic Keyboard for it, and that keyboard worked just fine. Now, I'm thinking about buying a new iPad. I'd like to use the existing Magic Keyboard with it. Which iPad models are compatible? Only iPad Pro? Or also iPad or iPad Air? The saving in not having to buy a new Magic Keyboard may allow me to buy a larger iPad, but only if compatible. Thanks.

Apple has a variety of Magic Keyboard models. If this is the Magic Keyboard that acts as a keyboard folio case for the 12.9” model, then it’ll probably work in the newer 12.9” models. You can check with Apple Support to confirm that. if this is a separate, standalone Bluetooth-connected Magic Keyboard (and not a folio-style keyboard), then it should work with most (all?) current iPad models.
