firmware updates for airpods

My AirPods Pro still list the firmware version 4E71 and 1.3.8. I have left the box with the AirPods inside connected to the charging cable for hours near the iPhone, but the firmware never updates. I have tried with the lid open and with the lid close.

Forgetting the device from the Bluetooth menu and pairing again them with the phone solved the issue. Now they list version 6A300 and 1.4.0
