Recently I blocked somebody on iMessage through my iPhone. As a way to cope, I still send messages of things I want to say, in hopes they won’t actually be sent. But when I check the messages on my MacBook, it says “delivered”. Are they still getting my messages?
Um... I hate to tell you this, but if you blocked them it does NOT stop you from sending them messages. Unless they have blocked you, they are getting everything you're sending to them.
Blocking someone stop you from getting messages or calls from them. It does NOT stop you from sending messages to or calling them.
Hopefully, you haven't sent anything to them that you'll regret or that would get you into legal hot water...

If you haven't already try blocking them on your Mac if that doesn't work make sure that your contacts are synced so that it will register on you Mac.
It says they are blocked on my Mac too, but still says delivered.
Are your contacts synced through iCloud?
