unable to install built-in apps

i recently restored my new iphone from an iTunes back up - as soon as the set up was done i noticed that my built-in apps (Calendar, Calculator etc) had the iCloud symbol below. When i press on the app to install i receive the following message "Unable to install [App Name], please try again later". do i need to use new Apple ID? please help me solve this, i need to access on my notes.
