Migration assistant not working
When I tried transferring data from another Mac it said that migration assistant quit unexpectedly. How can I fix it?

Try starting the computer in Safe Mode, Then launching Migration assistant form inside Safe Mode. Something on your computer may be interfering with migration assistant, and Safe mode should prevent that something from loading.
If no joy, launch Disk Utility and Repair your disks
