Studio screen partial freeze. I transferred too many photos and the thing froze up. The cursor is a tiny intermittent pinwheel, sometimes the display is nearly covered with stacked icons of the "thousands" of photos I transferred Preview.

This is with the latest OSX updates. All I did was plug my iPhone in and tried to transfer ALL the photos to my Studio using Preview. Now the whole thing is stuck. It seems to be trying to complete the task of transferring, I did the shut down, force quit, and looking around as much as I can. Found nothing.

I force quit all applications, etc. with and unruly cursor OR beachball (which changes from cursor to TINY beach ball). Goes from regular cursor to stubborn do nothing TINY beachball. Yeah, it's caught in a loop somewhere but how do I stop it?

I let it churn away unattended over night but no change.
