My iPhone 3GS is stuck with the apple sign I tried to put it in re set mode and it’s stuck what do I do?

I got the phone out the draw charged it re set it and then the apple sign come in I’ve read online it’s gone into dfu or something I’ve done all the steps and when iTunes recognises it it says it was in that mode but then restarted and to put back in I don’t know what do do I need help someone please
