Carplay volume decreases after sending text.

I have a 2024 Ram 1500. When I first get in my truck and have text messages read via CarPlay, the volume is at a good level. This volume level continues until I send a text. After sending a text, the volume decreases to a very low level. It lowers to a level so low I can barely hear the text being read. It also lowers the volume level of the trucks navigation system but does not affect the volume of music from the radio. This happens when connected via Bluetooth or lightning cable. I have unpaired and re-paired the phone (iPhone 13) several times. I have updated to the latest iOS 17.2. The only way to restore the volume level, is to go into the truck's settings and "Restart" the radio. Any suggestions?
