Creating playlists

Why exactly when I create a playlist can I not search within an existing playlist for a certain song, for example I have playlists with hundreds of songs and I want to add songs to a new playlist from a certain artist in the existing playlist I have to scroll through the playlist to find these songs one by one instead of just simply searching the artist and adding the song

Playlists are how I organize my music for listening, and if I want to add a song to several playlists, I have to do them one at a time. Unless there is a way to do this that I am missing? Adding songs to playlist i guess this is a new bug but whenever i try to add a new song to my playlist in apple music, it adds it to my library as well even though i have that option turned off in the settings. and when i turn it off and try to add a song to my playlist again, the option in settings automatically turns on without me doing anything.

When the playlist is open, drag down to reveal Search.
