Haptic Feedback is still on when in "do not disturb"

I have my phone on silent at all times, and have setup a vibration pattern for receiving text messages. The vibrations still go off at night when I have do not disturb on. Is this a bug?

iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 17

It might not be a bug, but rather a setting that needs adjustment. When "Do Not Disturb" is enabled on iPhones, it's supposed to suppress notifications and calls. However, haptic feedback for certain alerts might still come through based on settings. Here are a few things to check:

  1. Check your "Do Not Disturb" settings by going to Settings > Do Not Disturb. Make sure that "Silence" is set to "Always" and that "Allow Calls From" and "Allow Repeated Calls" are configured as per your preference.
  2. Go to Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Text Tone. Make sure that the vibration pattern selected for text messages isn’t overriding the "Do Not Disturb" settings. Try changing the vibration pattern or turning it off to test if it affects the behavior.
  3. Some messaging apps have their own notification settings that might override the system's "Do Not Disturb" settings. Check the notification settings within the messaging app to ensure that vibrations are disabled when "Do Not Disturb" is active.
  4. If that is a third-party app please contact the app developer. --> How to contact an app developer - Apple Support

If you've checked these settings and the issue persists, it might be helpful to restart your phone or even perform a software update if one is available. If the problem continues after all these steps, reaching out to Apple Support might provide further insights or solutions.
