I recently bought Oppenheimer to download and play on my Mac during my flight to Oslo for christmas. Any idea if the download is in 4K or is there a way to make it so?

The online streaming version can steam in 4K, for screens of at least 4K resolution. Screens of less than 4K but more than 1080p will get the stream one tier lower, i.e. 1080p.
The downloaded version of any iTunes Store movie is 1080p resolution max, regardless of screen capabilities.

Pretty sure a portable Mac doesn’t have a 4K screen. Even the latest 16" MacBook Pro (3456×2234) is a bit less than 4K UHD (3840×2160).
