iMessage with multisim

I am using my iPhone with 3 SIM cards. Primary (physical sim) is my private sim, an esim for work and another eSIM for data as I am lately working a lot from abroad.

now whenever I need cellular data I switch off my work e sim that is connected and used for iMessage and enable my internet eSIM. Each time I reenable that sim I get a notification if I want to enable that sim for iMessage. My question now is: what happens to iMessages that are sent to my work SIM card while it is switched off?

Dual SIM iMessage issue I have my default business line (physical SIM) and a personal line (eSIM) active on my phone. I have been able to send/receive iMessage and SMS/MMS from either line. The issue is that iMessage will randomly switch from the personal line to the business line. I text primarily from my personal line, but it will switch to the business line and then will not let me change it back. This is particularly frustrating since Apple Support page "Using Dual SIM with an eSIM" says: Switch numbers during a conversation Tap the number you're using, near the top of the screen. Choose the number you want to use instead. However, when I do this, it will temporarily show in the thread "Number changed to personal" but as soon as I send/receive another text it is still stuck on the business line. Anyone have suggestions on how to make "Switch numbers during a conversation" actually work?
