2 of the USB ports will not charge the 15 pro max. When I use cigarette lighter and a plug in no problem. The cables also work when I charge AirPod Pro with usb C. Took the RDX to the shop and the ports are fine. Why would the ports charge the AirPods and not the phone?

How did you determine not enough power ? Genius Bar said to much power is only reason I ask. I think more iOS issue. I backed up the phone, erased and restored and now fine. Before I did that it would not charge, if I turned off the phone and plugged it in then phone turned on and would charge. Hope one way or another it gets fixed for everyone.
I have the same problem. Short answer is not enough juice in the circuit. Problematic as Apple car play goes through one of the USB ports.
