RTI remote issues with new Apple TV update

All of my RTI remotes will not access the apps on my Apple TVs after the recent software update. When I click on an app it goes into edit mode. My provider has developed a “work around” but am wondering if other have the same issue and if either Apple or RTI is addressing it and if others had the same issue?
