why does imessage crash when I try to save a pdf string that has already been formatted

It takes hours to format an entire conversation, but once it does I and attempt to save the file so I can edit pages out imessage crashes without saving it after a while. I've tried to save to both the cloud and my laptop - same result.

iMessage keeps crashing when I try to print out message history. Has anyone else had problems with iMessage crashing when you try and print out more than a few pages of history? I've tried everything, restarting computer, force quitting app, even installed newest OS. I've done this in the past and never had any issues. My daughter recently passed and I'm trying to save our message history as a pdf. :(
