Apple CarPlay not working in Renault Koleos - 2021 Rlink

I purchased a Renault Koleos 2021 in Sydney, Australia.

Just a couple of days before the RLink system stopped recognising my APPLE CAR PLAY.

It was all working fine, but suddenly R LINK is not able to detect APPLE CARPLAY.

I can see my phone is getting detected at iPhone-00008.

I have an iPhone12 Max Pro. I updated my phone software to iOS 17.2. Still no luck. I tried all the steps mentioned below:

****

I tried with another Apple iPhone 11 and R Link is also not able to detect Apple CARPLAY in that phone as well.

However, when I try with an Android phone, Rlink is able to detect the Android phone. But I am comfortable with Apple CARPlay only.

I have tried with two different USB cables and still there is no luck.

It sounds like you've already done a lot of troubleshooting steps, which is great for narrowing down the issue. Since you've tried multiple iPhones and different cables, there might be a few more things to consider:

  1. Sometimes, resetting the infotainment system can help. Look for a reset option in the car's settings specifically for the R-LINK system. This might involve holding down a certain button combination or accessing a reset option in the system's settings.
  2. Ensure that the USB ports in your car are clean and free of debris. Sometimes, dust or dirt can interfere with the connection.
  3. Ensure that the USB cables you're using are authentic Apple cables. Non-certified or third-party cables might cause issues with CarPlay.
  4. Reach out to Apple support as well. Sometimes, issues might stem from the phone's settings or configurations. They might have specific suggestions or updates that could help.
  5. Check if there are any available software updates for your Renault Koleos. Sometimes, manufacturers release updates to address compatibility issues with newer phone software versions.
  6. If none of the above steps work, it might be worth visiting the dealership where you bought the car. There might be a more technical issue with the car's system that they can diagnose.

Since the Android phone is being detected, it suggests the problem might be related to the iPhone or the interaction between the iPhone and the car's system. Going through these steps might help pinpoint the issue.
