Replacement Device under Limited Warranty

Recently, I bought a brand new Ipad (as of now it is 2 months old) and still under apple limited warranty. I noticed that the screen is slightly lifted, currently, it is diagnosed on AASP prolly a factory defect. I would like to ask if apple provided a replacement device for my ipad, is it brand new or refurbished?

P.S. On my side, I think it is unfair if apple will give refurbished item in exchange of the product I bought on its brand new (orig) price.

This is a question only an Apple Store or authorised service centre can answer, not this community of product users like yourself. Take it to one of these places for inspection.

Be aware that a refurbished unit has had intense scrutiny from qualified Apple technicians and has had more attention and service than a unit sealed in a box at the factory. It should not be assumed that they are inferior to factory-fresh products. Apple in fact sells refurbished units, albeit at a reduced price.
