Disabled Apple ID on iPad Air

I have the new apple ipad air and every few months my ipad signs me out of my apple id for no reason, for example I don’t use it for a month and when I pick it up and unlock it it says I need to enter my apple id password again to continue. I don’t know why does it keep doing that. And now yesterday it doesn’t let me change my apple id password it’s going in a loop. And maybe my apple id is disabled now. I know my email and I know the password and I have a trusted phone number but how do I change the password if it doesn’t let me??

If your ID is disabled it will usually say so pretty clearly with a "disabled" message.

It is possible that if you don't use it for a while that you may get logged out. I have a few iPads I very rarely turn on and when I do I have to reactivate some services.

About the loop thing, you may need to ask Apple about that. Have you tried restarting the iPad? That can clear up mystery things sometimes.
