two airport wired to modem/router HomeKit problem
So, I've read a lot but I can't solve my problem.
I have a modem/router in the study. From this modem/router there are 2 ethernet cables that go to two different rooms. The Airport Extreme is connected to the first ethernet cable. It creates a wireless network, and is in bridge mode. In the same room there is also the appletv connected via wifi.
The second ethernet cable arrives in another room and connects to an airport express. Here too I create a wireless network (identical to the other) and this is also in bridge mode.
Everything works perfectly, even the devices connected to Apple Home.
But after a few days the devices connected to the Airport Express no longer work on Apple Home.
They continue to work with their native apps, but on Apple Home they remain in update-unreachable.
All smart devices (there are only 3) have been placed on the 2.4ghz network. They have been reset countless times but the problem persists.
Questions: Is the modem router causing this?
I could disable the router part and use airport extreme instead, would that help?
Is it a problem that the two airport bases are connected via ethernet cable directly to the modem/router?
Any other advice?
A thousand thanks.
