Apple will provide a gift card or credit toward the purchase of a new Apple product for the amount of the trade-in value of that Mac. Start here: Apple Trade In - Apple

You may also choose to sell your Mac privately and use the proceeds to purchase an Apple Gift Card: Apple Gift Card - Apple
