Apple Watch Fitness displaying old apple id email

Hello! So last year I changed the email address associated with my apple id. I updated it on all my devices, my contact card etc, however since I updated it, my mother and I can't properly compete/share activity on apple watch fitness. Our wins against each other are different for us both and sometimes it won't update our activity at all. Whenever I send her an invite to compete it shows my old apple id email and not my name or new apple id email. We both deleted and re added each other as contacts on our phones and updated the email address associated with my contact card, reset out apple watches and iphones etc. but Nothing seems to work. I know my apple watch is connected with my new apple id, it shows up as such in every space on my phone/watch, except when I send my mother competition or activity sharing invites. Its the weirdest thing, does anyone have any suggestions?

The first (and simplest) thing to try if something isn’t working right (which I believe you already have) is to restart your Apple Watch and its paired iPhone. If necessary (device not responding), try a forced restart. Both methods can be found here:

How to restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Restart your iPhone - Apple Support

If that doesn't help, the next steps would be to unpair and pair your watch again and restore from the backup just created. This should result in no loss of data. It deletes all temp and corrupted files and re-indexes the file system.

Unpair and erase your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Set up your Apple Watch - Apple Support

As a last resort, follow the above procedure for unpairing and pairing the watch, but do not restore the backup. Set the watch up as new instead. There should be no loss of Fitness data or Awards since those are stored on the paired iPhone, not the watch.
