What connections does iPad Pro allow with just one USB-C port

I want to buy an iPad but the fact that it has only one USB-C port holds me back.

How to connect my microphone whilst also charging?

I suppose it works with Bluetooth but sometimes i might need to use cable...

What can a USBC Hub do in these cases?
