iPhone getting hang and not responsive after update of iOS 17.2.1

We have users who updated their iphone to iOS 17.2.1 but they are facing issues like the hang screen is not acting properly since they updated it, also airdrop fluctuating and they are not able to select the airdrop recipient.

Anyone have the same problem after iOS 17.2.1 update?

In any app on iphone , if you enter the app and immediately try to swipe back or immediately try to press the back virtual button found on the top left corner it will not recognise your 1st tap or swipe. You literally have to wait for the system UI motion to finish playing in the back ground before the dismal iPhone will respond to your tap or swipe. When entering ANY App where you use a keyboard, try and immediately tap the space at the bottom to open the keyboard. Again it will not immediately respond to that first tap. Again you always have to wait for a system motion of some sort. In whatsapp , Skype , emails or messages try to tap the users icon or info immediately after opening. Again it lags and wont respond to the first tap or swipe. This is the experience of the whole iPhone, you have to wait for a background system motion to play out before this dismal screen responds to touches or swipes. The only swipe that is fast and consistent is the bottom close bar. This is ridiculous, it makes iphones feel like galaxies from a decade ago. You may Go ahead and try it , once you notice it you’ll hate this dismal iphone. I have even replaced the phone through iStore Uhmlanga in SA. The manager saw the problem herself , did not even know how to class it under for a product exchange but managed to exchange the product. Got a brand new iPhone 13. Exactly the same. I went to istore and played with the phones. They all do this. Those who have always been loyal to this Apple branding and eco system will notice it and try to live with it to keep showing off their brand. Those like myself who came from a Samsung Galaxy (S20 FE , yes not even the flagship) will be frustrated that we spend our time and money with apple. Supposedly the a15 bionic chip and its statistics but it cant even respond to first taps or swipes. Please if you see this problem and you see that I am right please support my post to this cash wolf business. Those hardcore apple fans , please also check my findings and If I am right , support this post with a simple “Me Too”. We can all appreciate faster and more responsive phones. This is obviously a software and battery saving tactic again forced by apple to get away with having poor batteries and low frequency screens. I will never ever support this company again.

Some ios17 features just not working Hi all, I have an iPhone 13 Pro, running iOS 17, but a lot of the features just won’t work. Stuff like leaving a video message on FaceTime, continuous conversations with Siri, Using Siri without “hey”. Oh, and AirDrop is just a disaster., doesn’t work at all. Also, I’ve only tested this with one other iPhone, but it doesn’t seem like my contact poster is sending to the other iPhone (also running iOS 17)

iPhone 16 pro max has several issues and I’m struggling with it. I used iPhone 13 Pro Max and I had never issues but when I switched to iPhone 16 pro max I regretted. I have several issues with it. when I zoom pdf files in WhatsApp, it crashes and I have to reopen WhatsApp. I had never this issue with iPhone 13 Pro Max. When I use camera, phone overheating. when I make phone calls I have 10% calls without audio. sometime touch screen not respond , which I never experienced in iPhone 13 Pro Max. Due to these reasons I loose faith in iPhone and I bought one $150 Chinese phone which is giving me more faith than this iPhone 16 pro max. I hope I’m not biased.

Hang and not responsive issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

This seems purely coincidental so please check the Setting on your device. If your iPhone won't turn on or is frozen

Thanks for your reply.

All you mentioned above is correct but I have been having this issue since restored and updated to the latest iOS even though I did not restore my backup on that phone. also observing some slowness in opening contact and the WhatsApp app.
