HELP Standard Definition DVX100 footage DEGRADED

Hello all! I have a project with a deadline tomorrow. I am editing a video that will ultimately be uploaded to Youtube. I am primarily using footage that I shot in 2011 using a DVX100. The video is is 720x480 codec Linear PCM, DV/DVCPRO - NTSC. I t has been stretched horizontally so the aspect ratio will need to be correct, I have included a sample screen shot. Its been a long time since I worked with SD footage. So when I open the original video quality looks good, just need to adjust the aspect ratio. But when i import the video to FCP X the video looks degraded, and when I export it from FCP X it is degraded. I've tried various things. What am I doing wrong? It was not this way in FCP 7 or any of the previous version of FCP as I edited a number of video and documentaries with it using SD footage from DVX100 Sony PD150 etc. Please help if you can. Or is there a way to find a data base of certified FCP prop experts to call?

So I figured out that I needed to click on the clip in the browser or project timeline and then go to the "i" in the top right-hand area that shows the clip information. Then go to "settings" below and find the field dominance override and choose progressive. I had shot the footage in progressive but it was imported in the project timeline "Lower Field" as if it were interlaced. So I chose progressive and also anamorphic override which fixed the aspect ratio and I was all set! It then looked good and exported fine.
