AFAIK, Amazon has been an Apple Authorized Reseller since 2018. As such, they would sell original Apple products.

In practice then, Amazon would purchase products directly from Apple, and then, resell them to consumers.

One thing to take into consideration, is the Apple warranty. What I am not 100% sure on, is when that warranty would start. That is, does it start the day you purchase it from Amazon, or when Amazon purchased it from Apple. I've heard it both ways, so it is worth checking before you make a purchase. Also, note that Amazon's return policy may supersede Apple's 14-day policy.

I think it would be somewhat of an outroar and legal case if big company such as amazon would be selling counterfeit apple products or counterfeit any products really.
