safari incorrectly reporting invalid addresses

This happens with both new websites and when refreshing or switching to existing web pages. It loses everything about the page / website. It is extremely irritating if I have searched through a site to find a particular page. I am forced to open a new tab and start from scratch.

It started after the last MacOS update.

A little more information:

This has made my tab groups useless. It has ruined several of the groups

The error response is instantaneous. It does not appear to be happening out on the web.

Sometimes the error cites a lack of space. I have 32 GB of RAM. The error then changes to invalid address.

I'm not a newbie. I've been on Macs since 2004, and on computers since the early 1980's.
