I just got an iPad, 10 generation and it’s updated to the most recent version. I downloaded apps from the App Store and they are showing up small, like the size of an iPhone app. Even when downloading it from the iPad App Store. Not sure what is going on. Any help would be great.

Not all apps have a version designed for iPad.
That looks like the Macy's app? On the App Store page, they list iPhone, iPod Touch and Mac versions. That information is at the very bottom of the page. They do not list an iPad-specific version: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/macys/id341036067
So, what you're seeing is normal. If an iPad-specific version is not available, the iPhone app will be downloaded instead.
