Getting Music Files from iPod Classic

Found my old iPod classic in a drawer and want to get the music files from it. It doesn't connect to wifi, but I found it plugged in to this totally unmarked device. Anyone know what it is -- possibly a Bluetooth adaptor? Or have other thoughts about how to get to the files? Thanks, everyone.

There is no Apple method for recovering music from an iPod. You will have to use third-party software. Some of it is free, some is not.

You may be right, the adaptor might be a Bluetooth adaptor. If you don't remember, it's anyone's guess.
