Apple TV on Roku

I can’t log into Apple TV on Roku. When I hit sign in it just gives me the spinning wheel of death. I uninstalled the app, turned the tv off, unplugged the Roku waited 30 seconds. Plugged it back in and redownloaded and still will not work.

Apple TV+ on roku I have to delete and reinstall my Apple TV+ on my Roku every couple of days. I can access the app and go through the menu and the previews, but every time a show starts the playback fails. i contacted Apple and was told it’s a Roku problem. Roku says the app starts and runs, so it’s an Apple problem. the only way to fix it is to delete the app, reboot Roku, install the app, restart Roku again… log back in and HOPE it works. I’ve had to do this up to three times, every few days just to watch anything. is anyone else having these ridiculous issues? p.s. - the Roku and Apple TV+ are both up to date.

Apple tv on Roku device suddenly won't play shows Suddenly, after many years of successful use, the apple tv app on my Roku device will not play any shows. All other(non apple tv ) viewing is fine. I have removed and reinstalled the Apple tv app, but now I cannot sign in to Apple tv on tv (smartphone is fine)

Apple TV on Roku will not play past the recap When playing an episode of any apple tv show, the recap will play. If I try to skip the recap or play the recap until the end I get an error message. The message says "Unable to Play." The screen goes black with this message. There is an option to Try Again or start troubleshooting. Try again to play before the recap and start troubleshooting just check the internet connection. I have two TCL Roku TVs and this happens only on the newest TV. I have signed out and back in. I have deleted the app and added it back. I have read other posts and this issue is not limited to TCL and Roku. What is the fix? Is there a fix? Does Apple plan on updating the app? My TV is fully updated. I am only logged into Apple TV on two devices and only watch one at a time.

It sounds like you have already done some excellent troubleshooting that worked for quite a few users that ran into this.

Else try the Network Connection Reset, as mentioned by user Jarieta.

If the issue persists after that, then please contact the Apple Support staff for further assistance.
