Apple TV+ on roku

I have to delete and reinstall my Apple TV+ on my Roku every couple of days. I can access the app and go through the menu and the previews, but every time a show starts the playback fails.


i contacted Apple and was told it’s a Roku problem. Roku says the app starts and runs, so it’s an Apple problem.


the only way to fix it is to delete the app, reboot Roku, install the app, restart Roku again… log back in and HOPE it works. I’ve had to do this up to three times, every few days just to watch anything.


is anyone else having these ridiculous issues?


p.s. - the Roku and Apple TV+ are both up to date.

Please try these procedures:


Another user (mygreensocks) suggested this procedure from Roku Support staff, which reportedly helped several users.

  1. Remove the Apple TV app,
  2. Shut off and unplug the TV (or streaming device),
  3. Wait 30 seconds,
  4. Plug the TV (or streaming device) back in,
  5. Reload the Apple TV app.


Else try the Network Connection Reset, as mentioned by user Jarieta.
