Apple TV+ app suddenly stopped working on my RokuTV

I watch the AppleTV+ app through my Philips Smart TV several times a week. This week when I went to watch the latest episode of Lady in the Lake, the program wouldn't load. I tried again several times and over past couple of days. Tonight I realized that nothing will load at all. I removed and reinstalled the app and checked for updates to the app and to the Roku. All say they are up to date. When I try to use the app now, I see the sign in screen and when I click to log in, the wheel just turns and nothing ever happens. All my other streaming services are loading and streaming without problem. Not sure what else to try.

Roku

Another user (mygreensocks) suggested this procedure from Roku Support staff, which reportedly helped several users.

  1. Remove the Apple TV app,
  2. Shut off and unplug the TV (or streaming device),
  3. Wait 30 seconds,
  4. Plug the TV (or streaming device) back in,
  5. Reload the Apple TV app.

Else try the Network Connection Reset, as mentioned by user Jarieta.

  1. Roku: Home﹥Settings﹥System﹥Advanced System Settings﹥Network Connection Reset

If the issue persists after that, then please contact the Apple Support staff for further assistance.

Thanks for explaining that, your initial post was unclear. The next thing I'd check is to see if the TV's OS is up-to-date, you will need to consult your Philips manual to learn how to check that. However, also check other Apple TV + shows besides Lady in the Lake, if others work okay then try Lady in the Lake in a few days. IF other Apple TV + shows don't work, then check with Philips support to see if what they suggest. If they point the finger at Apple then you can call AppleCare. AppleCare Contact Info
