I have an older model iPad (MNV22LL/A) that is currently logged in with my wife’s old work AppleID. We don’t have the password and cannot logout with that account into our personal account.

if your issue is activation lock then you wife needs to contact her old work
activation lock is not a thing on the ipad it's a theft protection on apples servers

if you don't know your appleID password

then you will need the assistance of
