Failure to Update IOS 17.1

My iPhone SE2020 will not update anymore to Apple updates like IOS17.1 , etc. It is a common problem but no one at APPLE seems to know how to fix it. Why NOT ? I go to Settings > General > Update/s and a white circle circulates endlessly and does NOTHING. I ask SIRI what version of IOS is my SE2020 using and she comes up with some rubbish links that go nowhere.

It's not a good look for APPLE at all. Plus it is not an uncommon problem . I have only ever bought 2 APPLE products an iPOD nano which cost $200+ and I had to throw that into eWaste after the battery could never be replaced. Now this iPhone that Cost me $748 AUD refuses to update and refuses for some reason to notify me of incoming texts especially android phones .

For the update problem, have you tried connecting your iPhone to a computer and updating it through iTunes? Sometimes, doing it that way can resolve update issues. As for the notification problem, first, make sure the Do Not Disturb mode isn't activated inadvertently. Additionally, checking the notification settings for your messaging app and ensuring it's allowed to display notifications might help.

It might be worth considering reaching out to Apple Support if these troubleshooting steps don't resolve the issues. They might have more specific advice or could assist you in diagnosing the problems with your device.
