Photos sorting

I saved some photos from old texts and they sorted as recent photos. How can I get Photos to sort by created date?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 14.1

View the Photos in "All Photos" instead of Recents. The predefined albums are all having a fixed sort order, specific for the particular album.

  • "Recents"and "Imports" are always sorted by the "Date added"
  • "All Photos" and the "Media Kind" albums are always sorted by the capture date, when the photos have been taken.

Only albums you create yourself can be sorted freely.
