Apple devices do support Wi-Fi Direct functionality through a feature called "AirDrop." AirDrop allows you to wirelessly share files, photos, videos, and more between Apple devices such as iPhones, iPads, and Macs without needing an internet connection. It works by creating a direct Wi-Fi connection between the devices involved in the transfer.

To use AirDrop:

  1. Make sure Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are turned on for both devices.
  2. On iOS devices, swipe down from the upper-right corner of the screen to open Control Center. On Mac, open Finder and select AirDrop from the sidebar.
  3. Tap on AirDrop (on iOS) or choose who can discover your device (on Mac).
  4. Select the contact or device you want to share content with.
  5. Share the file or content through the options provided (such as Photos, Safari, etc.).

This method is similar to Wi-Fi Direct in function, allowing direct wireless communication between Apple devices.
