what happens now with my discontinued watch

Apple watch bans are useable on all watch versions from the first to the Ultra.

Depending on your watch series will determine if you will be ab le to update/upgrade your watch. I know series 2 watches can not be upgraded beyond watchOS 6. It's a hardware issue.

I/We have no idea since we're all end users like yourself. Apple is not here. You can call Customer Support at 1-800-MY-APPLE and ask them.

I have the Series 4, and it is still supported.

I would expect the Series 6 to last a few more years than mine.

But an Apple Watch is not a watch you hand down to your grandkids after a lifetime of use.

How long with the watch 6 be getting updates?
