Apple Pencil: is this normal?

My Apple Pencil fell and now the tip wont screw in the apple pensil anymore. The tip looks like it is broken but I am not sure on how the Apple Pencil looks from the top without the tip. Is this normal?? There is a white circle around the metal part. Is it the rest of the tip or is it already part of the Apple Pencil? How do I get this fixed?
